COVID-19 Policies and Procedures
While acupuncture is not a treatment for COVID-19, our office can address the mental stress and the toll that this pandemic has taken on all of us as we adapt to our new normal. I have also recently been treating patients who have lingering symptoms after recovering from COVID infection.
The following policies and procedures have been adopted so that our office remains a safe place to receive essential acupuncture treatments.
For the safety of our patients, our Safety Plan has now been implemented: UCA COVID-19 Safety Plan
To comply with state requirements, and based upon currently known prevention strategies:
*All treatments will be by appointment only. If you are not feeling well, or suspect you have had contact with COVID-19, please call for a phone screening prior to entering the office.
*All patients must wear a mask covering both mouth and nose before entering the office, and during your treatments.
*Please arrive on time (5-10 minutes before your appointment) as this will help to maintain social distancing within the clinic.
*Please do not bring guests. If you require assistance entering or leaving the office, those assisting you must also wear a face mask and will be asked to wait outside the office until your treatment has completed.
*All patients will be requested to wash their hands thoroughly before their treatment.
*All patients will be screened to ensure that it is safe for both themselves and for other patients for them to receive acupuncture treatment. This screening will include a contactless reading of your body temperature.
*You may pay prior to treatment to assist with social distancing during patient turnover. If you are paying by check please pre-write your check if possible before you arrive. If you are paying with cash please bring proper change. Credit card payments will be contactless.
*Please bring your own pillow, blanket or sheet if desired.
